Puppies are born blind, deaf and toothless.

Smaller breeds, such as a toy poodle, reach maturity much faster than bigger breeds, like pit bulls.

Dogs dream, while small dogs have more dreams and big dogs dream longer.

The smartest dog breeds have the speech comprehension of a 2-year-old child, able to understand up to 250 words.

This one might seem obvious, but a dog’s wag alters based on three moods, including happy, agitated and scared.

A dog’s nose print is as unique as a human’s finger print.

Canines are man’s best friend. Able to help us do our jobs better, keep us from danger and provide unconditional companionship, dogs accept us for who we are.
